Supermicro SC847D Solid State Drive Configuration Guide
The Supermicro SC847D is a dual processor server with possibilities for 72x SATA or SAS Solid State Drives. The Supermicro SC847D
supports the following types of SSDs: SAS and SATA. The SSDs capacity can range from 120GB
to 7.68TB and speeds up to 3GB/s to 24GB/s depending on wether you, the
consumer choose: SAS or SATA SSDs. The Maximum capacity the Supermicro SC847D can offer
physically is 72x 7.68TB SSDs. It is not advisable to mix the types of drives
as the server will run inconsistent due to SSD drive speeds. If you want
to maximize the capabilities of the Supermicro SC847D, choose one type
of Solid State Drives to maintain consistency when running your server nodes.
