The R470 is a single Intel Processor server with possibilities for 8 or 16 EDSFF E3.S NVMe, 8 or 10 2.5-inch SATA or NVMe U.2/U.3 drives, or 4 3.5-inch SATA Solid State Drives, with an extra 3 EDSFF E3.S NVMe drives stored in the back panel. The Dell PowerEdge R470 supports 4 types of SSDs: SATA, NVMe U.2, NVMe U.3, and NVMe EDSFF E3.S Gen5 SSDs, which can range from sizes 240 GB to 61.44 TB and speeds from 3GB/s, 6GB/s to 32GT/s depending on whether you, the consumer choose SATA or NVMe variants of SSDs. Maximum capacity the R470 can offer physically is 18x 61.44TB SSDs.
