Collection: Dell Precision T3500 RAM Memory Upgrades
Dell Precision T3500 RAM Upgrade
Innovate your small business operations with the Dell Precision T3500 by upgrading its memory. Designed to take on intensive workloads, the Dell Precision T3500 can be upgraded to a maximum of 24GB using ECC UDIMM modules and 12GB using non-ECC UDIMM modules. This system supports speeds of 1066MT/s and 1333MT/s. 1600MT/s and 1866MT/s modules can be used, but they will clock down to 1333MT/s.
Cloud Ninjas offers upgrade packages designed to work with the Dell Precision T3500 Workstation. To find the best memory upgrade package for your T3500, select a memory type, speed, and size. For type, we recommend ECC unbuffered over non-ECC unbuffered due to its added protection against data corruption. For speed, we recommend 1333MT/s. Lastly, when it comes to size, it all depends on your application, but in general 8GB is the way to go. Contact our team of ninjas to help select the perfect memory kit for your Dell Workstation.

Dell Precision T3500 Memory Configuration
The Dell Precision T3500 Workstation is a single Processor system with 6 DIMM slots. There are three memory channels, each managing two DIMM slots. The Dell Precision T3500 supports both ECC and non-ECC unbuffered memory. You should NEVER mix different memory types as this can cause a handful of issues. Different speeds can be mixed, but the modules will function at the speed of the slowest module installed. We recommend that all the memory inside your T3500 be matching modules. We only offer matching kits in order to ensure that your system will function issue free!

Cloud Ninjas' Dell Precision T3500 Questions & Answers & Answers
- What sizes can you use for the Dell Precision T3500 Workstation?
The Dell Precision T3500 Workstation can be upgraded using 1 GB, 2 GB, or 4 GB non-ECC and ECC UDIMM modules.
- What speeds are supported by the Dell Precision T3500 Workstation?
The Dell Precision T3500 Workstation supports memory speeds of 1066MT/s and 1333MT/s. Speeds of 1600MT/s and 1866MT/s will clock down to 1333MT/s.
- What types of RAM are accepted by the Dell Precision T3500 Workstation?
The Dell Precision T3500 Server supports non-ECC and ECC unbuffered memory.
- What is ECC Registered Memory?
ECC memory has the ability to fix memory errors in your server system. Registered (also called buffered) memory modules register between DRAM modules and the system's memory controller. ECC Registered Memory relieves stress off of the memory controller by decreasing the electrical load which increases its stability. The Dell Precision T3500 Workstation does not support ECC Registered memory.
- What is Unbuffered Memory?
Unbuffered memory has no register between the DRAM and the system’s memory controller. Unbuffered memory can be more efficient than registered memory since there is a direction connection from the DRAM to the memory controller. The Dell Precision T3500 Workstation supports unbuffered memory with ECC and without ECC.
- What is Load Reduced Memory?
Load reduced memory (LRDIMM) modules are designed with a buffer chip (or chips) to replace the register to help minimize loading. the LRDIMM increases server system memory capacity and speed. The Dell Precision T3500 Workstation does not support load reduced memory.
- Can I mix ECC Reg with ECC unbuffered or Non-ECC memory?
It is never recommended to mix different memory types. Mixing unbuffered memory with ECC and non-ECC memory may cause boot failure. The use of both unbuffered and registered memory is never recommended. It is best practice to use identical memory configuration in all channels.
- What is max configuration?
The Dell Precision T3500 Workstation supports a maximum configuration of 24GB using six 4GB ECC UDIMM modules and 12GB using three 4GB non-ECC UDIMM modules.
- How many memory channels per CPU?
The Dell Precision T3500 Workstation has three memory channels which each contain two DIMM slots.
- How do I identify the start of the memory channel?
The Dell Precision T3500 Workstation's DIMM slots are numbered and are color coded. Slots DIMM1, DIMM2, and DIMM3 are the start of each channel. These are also the DIMM slots that are colored white.
- Where can I order memory for my workstation?
Order your Dell Precision T3500 memory on this page by finding and selecting the memory package that is right for you.
- How soon will my RAM arrive?
Orders placed before 8 am are set for same day processing and shipping. Delivery times vary based on carrier and location.
- What is the warranty on memory for the workstation?
