The DellPrecision R7920 Workstation is a Dual Processor system with 12 DIMM slots per CPU. There are four memory channels per CPU. Each memory channel manages three DIMM slots. Along with the standard Registered memory (RDIMM), the Dell Precision R7920 Workstation also supports options for the Load Reduced memory (LRDIMM). Different speeds can be mixed but the modules will function at the slowest speed installed.
