Dell PowerEdge R760 Network Interface Controller Configuration Guide
The R760 is a Intel Processor server with possibilities for only 2 Network Interface controller port on the back panel from the motherboard with speeds of 1GbE RJ45. The NIC speeds for the Dell PowerEdge R760 are, 1GbE, 8GbE, up to 100GbE if using a network card through the PCIe slot expansion, or OCP card. Only PCIe NIC and OCP 3.0 cards are accepted on the R760. RJ45, SFP, SFP+, Fiber Channel, SFP28, QSFP28, QSFP56 is the interface type the Dell PowerEdge R760 can have. NIC cards can come with a metal bracket or not, make sure you choose your option correctly. Some Network cards might have two variations, a low-profile variation and a full-height variation, which is based on the physical size of the card.
