The M830 is a Quad Processor system with 12 DIMM slots per CPU. There are four memory channels per CPU. Each memory channel manages three DIMM slots. Along with the standard Registered RDIMMs, the M830 also supports options for the Load Reduced LRDIMMS. Different speeds can be mixed but the modules will function at the slowest speed installed.
