The R760 is a Dual Intel Processor server with possibilities for maximum 8x 2.5" or 3.5" SAS/SATA/NVMe drives, 16x 2.5" SAS/SATA/NVMe, 24x 2.5" SAS/SATA/NVMe (16x SAS/SATA + 8x NVMe) or 12x 3.5" SAS/SATA Solid State Drives. There is an additional 2x 2.5" SAS/SATA/NVMe rear bays on the chassis for a max of 30.72TB (2x 15.36TB). The Dell PowerEdge R760xs supports 3 types of SSDs: SATA, SAS, and NVMe U.2 SSDs, which can range from sizes 240 GB to 7.68 TB and speeds from 3GB/s, 6GB/s to 24GB/s depending on whether you, the consumer choose SAS, SATA or NVMe SSDs. Maximum capacity the R760xs can offer physically is 26x 15.36TB SSDs. Not advisable to mix the types of storage interfaces as the server will run inconsistent due to SSD drive speeds.
