Supermicro X10SLD-F RAM Upgrades
Upgrade in the memory of your Supermicro X10SLD-F Motherboard, giving your system the performance and stability of a brand new system. The Supermicro X10SLD-F has a maximum memory configuration of 32GB of ECC unbuffered memory. The X10SLD-F supports memory speeds of 1066MT/s, 1333MT/s, and 1600MT/s (1866MT/s can be installed, but will clocked down to 1600MT/s).
Cloud Ninjas provides memory upgrades compatible with the Supermicro X10SLD-F Motheroboard. To find the best memory upgrade kit for your Supermicro X10SLD-F, please select the memory type, speed, and size from the list below. For type, ECC unbuffered is all that is supported by this motherboard. ECC unbuffered memory offers protection against data corruption which is crucial in environments where loss of data is unacceptable. For speed, we recommend 1600MT/s. Lastly, for size, it mainly depends on what you are using you system for, but in general we recommend choosing 8GB modules. Contact our team of ninjas to help select the perfect memory kit for your Supermicro system.

Supermicro X10SLD-F Memory Configuration Guide
The Supermicro X10SLD-F is a Single Processor motherboard with 4 DIMM slots. There are two memory channels, each managing two DIMM slots. This system can utilize up to four 8GB ECC UDIMMs for a maximum capacity of 32GB. Standard Voltage (1.5v) and Low Voltage (1.35v) modules are supported. You should never mix modules with different types. The same thing goes for mixing modules with different voltages. Different speeds can be mixed together, but this is not recommend because all modules will operate at the speed of the slowest module installed. It is best practice to have matching modules in all DIMM slots of your system. We only ship matching upgrade kits to guarantee that your system runs as intended.

Cloud Ninjas' Supermicro X10SLD-F Workstation Questions & Answers
-
What memory sizes can you use for the Supermicro X10SLD-F?
The Supermicro X10SLD-F can be upgraded using 1GB, 2GB, 4GB, and 8GB ECC UDIMMs.
- What speeds are supported by the Supermicro X10SLD-F?
The Supermicro X10SLD-F supports memory speeds of 1066MT/s,1333MT/s, and 1600MT/s (1866MT/s can be installed, but will be clocked down to 1600MT/s).
- What types of RAM are accepted by the Supermicro X10SLD-F?
The Supermicro X10SLD-F only accepts DDR3 ECC unbuffered memory.
- What is ECC Registered Memory?
ECC memory has the ability to fix memory errors in your server system. Registered (also called buffered) memory modules register between DRAM modules and the system's memory controller. ECC Registered Memory relieves stress off of the memory controller by decreasing the electrical load which increases its stability. The Supermicro X10SLD-F Motherboard does not support ECC Registered memory.
- What is Unbuffered Memory?
Unbuffered memory has no register between the DRAM and the system’s memory controller. Unbuffered memory can be more efficient than registered memory since there is a direction connection from the DRAM to the memory controller. The Supermicro X10SLD-F Motherboard supports unbuffered memory with ECC only.
- What is Load Reduced Memory?
Load reduced memory (LRDIMM) modules are designed with a buffer chip (or chips) to replace the register to help minimize loading. the LRDIMM increases server system memory capacity and speed. The Supermicro X10SLD-F Motherboard does not support load reduced memory.
- Can I mix ECC Reg with ECC unbuffered or Non-ECC memory?
It is never recommended to mix different memory types. Mixing unbuffered memory with ECC and non-ECC memory may cause boot failure. The use of both unbuffered and registered memory is never recommended. It is best practice to use identical memory configuration in all channels.
- What is max configuration?
The Supermicro X10SLD-F has a maximum memory configuration of 32GB of ECC Unbuffered memory.
- How many memory channels per CPU?
The Supermicro X10SLD-F has one CPU socket which controls the board's two memory channels. Within each channel, there are two DIMM slots.
- How do I identify the start of the memory channel?
The Supermicro X10SLD-F Motherboard's DIMM slots are color coded black and blue. The slots that are colored black represent the start of a memory channel.
- Where can I order memory for my workstation?
Order your memory directly from this page by finding and selecting a memory package from the list above. If you prefer another method, you can email us directly at sales@cloudninjas.com.
- How soon will my RAM arrive?
Orders placed before 8 am are set for same day processing and shipping. Delivery times vary based on carrier and location.
- What is the warranty on memory for the workstation?
