Collection: HP Z210 Memory Upgrades

HP Z210 RAM Upgrade
Jump start your business operations with the HP Z210 Workstation by upgrading its memory and experience a difference in your business environment. Designed with scalability and performance in mind, the HP Z210 Workstation's memory can be upgraded up to a maximum of 16 GB, which is perfect for intensive multi-tasking environments. This system accepts ECC UDIMMs which is crucial for those who value data protection. For environments where data corruption is not a major concern, non-ECC UDIMMs are also supported by this system. The Z210 only supports 1333MT/s, causing faster modules to be clocked down to the 1333MT/s max. Choosing the right memory for the Z210 can help you get more done, taking your productivity to new heights!
Cloud Ninjas offers upgrade packages that work with the HP Z210 Workstation.
To find the best memory upgrade package for the HP Z210 Workstation, choose the desired RAM size from the list below. For low end applications, we would recommend a 4GB to 8GB configuration. When it comes to higher end applications we suggest you max out to a 16GB configuration. Either way we recommend that you purchase ECC modules as they have unrivaled stability when compared to Non-ECC modules.

HP Z210 Workstation Memory Configuration Guide
The HP Z210 Workstation is a Single Processor system with 4 DIMM slots. There are two memory channels that are made up of two DIMM slots. Low Voltage modules are NOT supported by this system. It is not recommended to mix modules with different speeds. It is best practice to use matching memory modules in your machine for maximum performance and stability. For this reason, each one of our memory upgrade kits consist of matching modules.
Cloud Ninjas' HP Z210 Workstation Memory Upgrade Tips
- The HP Z210 has a total of four DDR3 DIMM slots
- The only speed option for the HP Z210 Workstation is 1333MT/s.
- The system supports 1GB, 2GB, and 4GB modules
- Supports a maximum of 16GB ECC or non-ECC UDIMMs
- DO NOT MIX DIFFERENT MEMORY TYPES!
- The HP Z210 will max out at 16GB via (4 x 4GB) DDR3 PC3-10600E 1333MT/s or (4 x 4GB) DDR3 PC3-10600U 1333MT/s

Cloud Ninjas' HP Z210 Workstation Questions & Answers
- What sizes can you use for the HP Z210 Workstation?
The HP Z210 Workstation can be upgraded using 1GB, 2GB, and 4GB ECC or non-ECC UDIMM modules
- What speeds are supported by the HP Z210 Workstation?
The HP Z210 Workstation can supports a single speed of 1333MT/s.
- What types of RAM are accepted by the HP Z210 Workstation?
The HP Z210 Workstation can support both ECC and non-ECC UDIMM modules.
- What is ECC Registered Memory?
ECC memory identifies and corrects memory errors within the server environment. Registered (also called buffered) memory modules register between DRAM modules and the system's memory controller. ECC Registered Memory relieves stress off of the memory controller by decreasing the electrical load which makes it more stable and reliable. The HP Z210 Workstation does not support registered memory with ECC.
- What is Unbuffered Memory?
Unbuffered memory is memory that has no register between your DRAM and your system’s memory controller. Unbuffered memory can be more efficient than registered memory since it creates a direction connection from the DRAM to the memory controller. The HP Z210 Workstation supports unbuffered memory with ECC and without ECC.
- What is Load Reduced Memory?
Load reduced memory (LRDIMM) modules are designed with a buffer chip (or chips) to replace the register to help minimize loading. the LRDIMM increases server system memory capacity and speed. The HP Z210 Workstation does not support load reduced memory.
- Can I mix ECC Reg with ECC unbuffered or Non-ECC memory?
The HP Z210 Workstation supports the use of unbuffered memory with ECC or without ECC. Mixing ECC registered memory with ECC unbuffered or non-ECC memory may cause boot and/or POST failure, system crashed, or even inability to power on your machine. The use of multiple types of memory in one system is not recommended, no matter what types you use. It is always the best option to use identical memory configuration in all channels.
- What is max configuration?
The HP Z210 Workstation allows a maximum configuration of 16 GB using four 4 GB ECC or non-ECC UDIMMs.
- How many memory channels per CPU?
The HP Z210 Workstation has a total of 4 DIMM slots which are numbered 1 through 4. There are only two memory channels for the single CPU of the Z210.
- How do I identify the start of the memory channel?
The HP Z210 Workstation's DIMM slots are colored both white and black. The black slots indicates the start of a memory channel. Each slot is numbered 1 through 4, with slot 1 being furthest from the CPU and slot 4 being closest to the CPU. Slots 1 and 3 being the start of a channel.
