HP ProLiant ML10 v2 RAM Upgrade
Take your HP ProLiant ML10 v2's performance to new heights by upgrading its memory. The HP ProLiant ML10 v2 Server can be upgraded to a maximum of 32 GB using ECC unbuffered memory. This versatile system is capable of handling memory speeds of 1333MT/s and 1600MT/s. Modules with speeds of 1866MT/s can be installed, but they will clock down to the true fastest speed of 1600MT/s.
Cloud Ninjas offers upgrade packages that are compatible with the HP ProLiant ML10 v2. To find the best memory upgrade package for your HP ProLiant ML10 v2 Server, pick a memory type, speed, and size from the list below. In terms of speed, only ECC unbuffered is supported by this system. ECC unbuffered does provide an advantage by offering integrated protection against data corruption. For speed, we recommend 1600MT/s. Lastly, for size, 8GB modules are the way to go! Contact our team of ninjas to help select the perfect memory kit for your HP server.

HP ProLiant ML10 v2 Memory Configuration Guide
The HP ML10 v2 Server is a Single Processor system with a total of 4 DDR3 DIMM slots. There are two memory channels each managing two DIMM slots. This system is only compatible with DDR3 ECC Unbuffered memory. Standard voltage (1.5v) as well as low voltage (1.35v) modules are supported by this system. You should NEVER mix different memory types and voltages together. Doing so can cause various issues such as boot failure. Different speeds can be mixed on the other hand, but all modules will run on the speed of the slowest module installed. We recommend that you use matching modules across all DIMM slots in your ML10 v2. With this in mind, we only ship matching memory kits to ensure stability and reliability.

Cloud Ninjas' HP ProLiant ML10 v2 Questions & Answers
- What sizes can you use for the HP ProLiant ML10 v2 Server?
The HP ProLiant ML10 v2 Server can be upgraded using 2GB, 4GB or 8GB ECC UDIMM modules.
- What speeds are supported by the HP ProLiant ML10 v2 Server?
The HP ProLiant ML10 v2 Server supports memory speeds of 1333MT/s and 1600MT/s. 1866MT/s modules can be installed, but will clock down to 1600MT/s.
- What types of RAM are accepted by the HP ProLiant ML10 v2 Server?
The HP ProLiant ML10 v2 Server accepts DDR3 ECC Unbuffered memory only.
- What is ECC Registered Memory?
ECC memory has the ability to fix memory errors in your server system. Registered (also called buffered) memory modules register between DRAM modules and the system's memory controller. ECC Registered Memory relieves stress off of the memory controller by decreasing the electrical load which increases its stability. The HP ML10 v2 Server does not support ECC Registered memory.
- What is Unbuffered Memory?
Unbuffered memory has no register between the DRAM and the system’s memory controller. Unbuffered memory can be more efficient than registered memory since there is a direction connection from the DRAM to the memory controller. The HP ML10 v2 Server supports unbuffered memory with ECC only.
- What is Load Reduced Memory?
Load reduced memory (LRDIMM) modules are designed with a buffer chip (or chips) to replace the register to help minimize loading. the LRDIMM increases server system memory capacity and speed. The HP ML10 v2 Server does not support load reduced memory.
- Can I mix ECC Reg with ECC unbuffered or Non-ECC memory?
It is never recommended to mix different memory types. Mixing unbuffered memory with ECC and non-ECC memory may cause boot failure. The use of both unbuffered and registered memory is never recommended. It is best practice to use identical memory configuration in all channels.
- What is max configuration?
The HP ProLiant ML10 v2 Server allows the maximum configuration of 32 GB using four 8GB ECC Unbuffered modules.
- How many memory channels per CPU? The HP ProLiant ML10 v2 Server has 2 channels, with a total of 4 slots which are numbered 1 through 4.
- How do I identify the start of the memory channel?
The HP ProLiant ML10 v2 Server has 4 DIMM slots which a colored black and white. DIMM slots are also numbered 1-4. The black slots represent the start of the memory channel (slots 1 and 3). - Where can I order memory for my server?
